Free Preview Screening: Vampire Academy

I don't think it's any surprise to regular visitors that I have a weak spot for teen films, vampires and coming of age flicks. So it someone were going to combine them all into a single package I'd probably be pretty hooked. So it's with some reasonably high (and perhaps unreasonable) expectations that I look forward to Vampire Academy. No, I'm not going to closely read the film's synopsis. No, I'm not going to harsh on maybe riding the vampire craze started by another somewhat derivative teen vampire book. Instead I'm just going to go and try to enjoy it. If you'd like to try the same risk free you can snag a pass to see the film just ahead of its public opening.

If you'd like to attend just follow this link over to Gofobo and snatch 'em up to see the movie 2/6. Don't forget to arrive early as your seats aren't guaranteed just because you're clutching the pass.

Synopsis: Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, half human/vampire, guardians of the Moroi, peaceful, mortal vampires living discretely within our world. Her legacy is to protect the Moroi from bloodthirsty, immortal Vampires, the Strigoi. This is her story.

Oh yeah, a real winner. A movie where they whitewashed the lead role which was supposed to be a biracial femal, then inserted a token poc in a minor role to make up for it.

Hollywood at its finest. Casting a no talent lead simply because mommy and daddy have connections, after all, who cares if she's white, right?

I loved this movie! I watched it, Despite it receiving bad reviews, cause I like stuff like this. It was never intended to be serious. It was/is in my opinion supposed to be funny and that's exactly how I found it to be; Funny!

This movie is really good and I recommend anyone that has read the books and liked them to watch the Vampire Academy and not fall in love with this movie. I mean even my mother liked the movie and she didn't even read the book series at all.
