I took a series of pretty random snapshots over the course of my day in Vancouver Sunday. What I
didn't capture was the busy chaos that I always forget about with VIFF. It's a busy scene at the movies, but it's completely dwarfed by busy downtown Vancouver which always seems to have huge throngs of people shopping, partying, and just coming or going. But I took 'em - so why not post them.

| A pre screening view of one of the smaller Granville theaters. It's certainly not the Alamo ;-) |

| The aging but still exciting to see marquee at the Granville 7 |
 |
| VIFF Badge along with a day's worth of passholder entry tickets to a day's films |

Clearly Vancouver has some other charms besides the festival judging

| The Granville theater - folks checking out the board of films playing soon | |

Japadog
In between screenings I took the opportunity to try
Japadog's Japanese style hot dogs again. Liked the dog itself though I don't think the seaweed flavor is really right for me. Love the concept more than the execution perhaps. I enjoy the energy of their cart - but given a choice I'd stick with Seattle's
Po Dog.

The finished product. Delicious dog, bun, and mayo.
For me the shredded nori was a bridge too far. |
